Many of OptiDyn's solutions and services qualify for Federal tax credits under the Energy Policy Act.
- You may be eligible for a tax deduction of up to $1.80 per square foot for improving the energy efficiency of your existing commercial buildings.
- The amount deductible may be as much as $1.80 per square foot of building floor area for buildings that achieve a 50-percent energy savings target. The notice provides that buildings below the 50-percent threshold may, nevertheless, qualify for a deduction of up to 60 cents per square foot of building floor area if they meet a 16 2/3-percent energy savings target.
- Certification from a qualified individual stating which targets have been met (50% savings for three systems or 16 2/3% savings for one system).
- All projects must be completed by the end of 2008 to qualify.
